I would like to give a huge thank you to all of the staff that was working Thanksgiving night, especially Dr. Cole! I brought my dog, Dolly, in after coming home from a Thanksgiving get together and found that she had ingested mouse bait. I tried to get ahold of my regular vet, and all I got was the run around with the after-hours receptionist. So, we called Veterinary Emergency center in Maumee, that we had never been to, and the receptionist was awesome. He was patient and calm, and then he gave us the poison control number to find out what type she had ingested and what the next steps needed to be. 10/10 experience. Made an emergency trip on Thanksgiving day and were met with amazing staff and doctors. Dr. DeVere sat with us and answered all of our questions making us feel much better about our situation.
My husband and I had an outstanding experience with this emergency vet office and their staff. We originally brought our 9 y/o Frenchie to Medvet on Douglas but were met with a 3-4 hour wait. We headed to this clinic and were called into a room as I was still providing information to the front desk staff (it was around 7pm on black Friday). The tech and vet were kind, helpful, and gentle with our girl. After some x-rays, we discovered her TPLO implant failed and had a fracture so we left around 9pm with pain medication and instructions to call our vet the next day.
