“I have had chronic daily back pain for many years, pain that made it hard to work, go on long trips, exercise, or do daily activities such as clean the house, laundry, or just go for a walk. Although I have to be mindful of what I am lifting (as a full laundry basket will flare up my back) even if I am being mindful of how I lift. Synergy does not just focus on adjustments alone they include physical therapy and stretching as well as other methods for overall healing. I love that they have CNP on staff. I have gone to Chiropractors for adjustments for temporary relief but that does not get to the root cause of the pain. It just got me through my work week. I flared up an old injury, recently, by simply carrying a bucket of lemonade at my job, I could not get in and out of my car, I could not roll over in bed, I had to have help getting out of a chair. Taking a shower and using the restroom (I could not sit down on the toilet without my lower back giving out and making a mess) because my mobility was limited. I bought a cane, because if I stepped wrong my lower back would give out..I could not get out of my car because putting pressure on my back to stand up was just not happening. I could not get dressed without leaning against a wall or sitting in a chair. My Husband had to push me into the seat of his jeep because I could not scoot into place. Any small jar would send pain up through my back. I could not turn over in bed or scoot in bed without the assistance of a cane. Walking sent pain through my lower back and my back literally gave out. I went to the dentist and could not pull my legs up to sit on the chair at the dentist and I had to sit in the dentist's chair (that the actual dentist sat in) so they could work. I thought for sure my back was done, and I would not be able to work or function. I will say that at Synergy, it is not just about getting you in the door and getting you on a program. It may take a few weeks, but they will find the root cause of the pain and work on getting you to a better place. They work to find the areas, that are problematic and finding solutions to get those areas healthier. Their goal IS to help you get better, not to keep you on a regimen just enough to keep you on their schedule. I learned that there is a joint at the top of my hip that gets inflamed, and the piriformis muscle is super tight. I have always had pain that is consistent in the areas that they were evaluating. My lower back would not move with adjustments, for weeks, but is now moving.. I do wave therapy and recently started injections. The injections have helped in pain relief and loosening up those areas and my lower back has started to move! My family went on a trip (6 hour car ride) and for the week leading up to the trip I had anxiety about the pain. As after about an hour in a car my back would hurt, and I dealt with pain the whole vacation. At hour 1 my back flared up, I did some stretches in the Jeep and had my back brace on the whole drive. The pain was relieved, although at times during the vacation my back did hurt, it did not hinder me spending time with my family because of the pain. It did not hinder me going to shops and walking. I just pulled the back brace tighter. But I was also mindful that when my back was done it was done. I have no doubt that the staff at Synergy genuinely care about patients getting better, I have no doubts that what they recommend is for the betterment of my overall health. And if you are willing to put in the effort to get better, they will help you to achieve your goals. This may be a novel, but as someone who has lived with back pain for decades, Synergy has my vote for providing services that promote my overall health. When I learned they had CNP on staff and a weight loss program I knew they meant business, and their focus was health over temporary vs fixes. My back may not be 100% but it is at least to a place where I can function. But I have confidence that in time, my overall health will be so much better, because this office cares about the people “
