I would recommend Dahl House day care 100%. They are attentive to the dogs, separate them by play styles, schedule breaks for the dogs, AND have fields for the dogs to run and have fun. Bentley is friendly and loving, but timid and skittish at times when someone is earning his trust. Dahl house has won him over. He is so excited to go when I mention it. He is happy and tired when he leaves, and even better? He’s always clean and smells great. Dahl house is a life saver, and we are so grateful for them!
🐕 🐶 🐈⬛ Hi neighbors! I wanted to take a minute to shout out a business owned by our neighbors Denise Holzheimer & Ted- Dahl House Boarding Kennel/Daycare. I just picked up our boy for the 2nd time this week. It’s located in Macedonia on Highland road if you’ve never been there. We started going there maybe about 3+ yrs ago when we were looking for an option for our Boston Terrier to go when we were on vacation. We had NEVER done a daycare or boarding place and our dog was around 6 yrs at the time. We were worried- our little man is high energy and can be very protective/guarded when he’s around other dogs and/or new people. We were so relieved when he did great. We continue to go there for every holiday we’re out of town and when we just need to drop off King for a half day/full day(could be because I don’t want him home alone all day or when the weather has been yuck and I think he just needs a release of energy with other dogs). Recently, many of you know, I’m now 36 weeks pregnant and my husband had an intensive surgery and recovery is long. I’ve been taking our little man to the Dahl House a few times a week now and even last minute having him stay the night when I couldn’t make it back from the hospital in time, our boy didn’t have blankets or food from me and they said don’t worry we have blankets for him and I got to choose a food to give him that they have. Denise was so accommodating and totally ok with all of it. I feel so relieved knowing our little man is in GREAT hands with people who care. I will shout it from the roof top over and over to check out the Dahl house if you haven’t been. They also offer amazing baths if you have your dog board and you want him to go home fresh- we love that, and they cleaned out our boy’s ears too because they saw they needed it. Get out and support local! Thanks Denise & Ted & the whole staff- you guys have helped us out so much during this tough time and always when we need our boy cared for! BONUS- they come home SO tired after all of the play and action they get!! 😜 ALSO 2nd bonus: they are located behind the Macedonia Vet Clinic- if you need a last minute updated shot or something happens while your pet is there, they can get it taken care of at the clinic (during business hours only I’m sure). Just another great thing knowing there’s care nearby.
We recently moved to Ohio from a lifetime in Florida and were concerned about finding a good place to board our Labrador, Scout. The owners gladly gave us a tour of the entire facility. Their staff and their care for both us and our girl where unlike anything else we’ve ever experienced. They are world class in my opinion. Our girl is happy, relaxed and smells great after her pre-check out bath (an extra, but highly recommended!). Incredible service, compassion and care for what they do here is evident. Amazing! We can’t say enough about them. Thank you!
