The following week I scheduled a massage with Allison. Allison is a very kind and calming person. She created an environment where I felt safe. She told me everything she was going to do before she did it, and was very attentive to my comfort level. I’m amazed how much better I feel after our 30 minute appointment together. My first full appointment with Dr. Kauffman is scheduled two weeks from now. I am so excited to continue working with the team, and to start feeling like myself again.“

My massage therapist (who deserves her own star on the wellness walk of fame) walked me through every step of the process, making sure I felt completely comfortable. She took the time to understand what was going on with my body and intuitively knew where to focus—like she had a backstage pass to my muscle tension.

What really set it apart? She not only tolerated my Van Halen references—she appreciated them. That’s rarer than a first pressing of 1984. We’re talking about someone who got the humor, matched the energy, and still managed to deliver a massage that made me feel like I was backstage at the Us Festival… but with far better lighting and no spandex.
