My 18 yr. old doxie had a serious health concern. She had a stroke and lost use of her hinds, leg weakness and some cranial nerve damage. She was rushed to MedVet in Akron. With no appropriate answers other than to keep her comfortable and prepare for the worst, and same 'unsure results' at her usual vet with no same day time slots open for us, so I called Animal Wellness for help and a third opinion and the front end office girls made an accommodation to get her in the same day to see Dr. Padayao. He's a wonderful and caring doctor who took excellent care of my baby, gave us a diagnosis and began therapy on her. My Molly being 18 years old had a combination of issues that were addresses thoroughly and diligently by this wonderful physician. He gave her a chance, and she progressed under his care. She was also recommended to their in house physical therapist, Lisa. Lisa is phenomenal! She's kind and professional and really knows her line of work. We look forward to her therapy sessions and she always goes above and beyond. She selflessly took the time to build Molly a pt. cart to assist us with our in home therapy time and taught us exercises that we were able to do at home, to help make Molly stronger. Molly was also seen by Dr. Meluch, who specializes in rehabilitation and pain, which was extremely important due to Molly's age, mobility issues and current therapy regimen. Dr. Meluch also offers acupuncture, right there at the facility. She was honest and straight forward with her trustworthy recommendations and opinions. She's also kind, caring and loving. She never hesitates to listen, advise and help when needed. I later learned that she owns the practice, too! Makes perfect sense, because along with her passionate medical expertise, behind this facility is a group of people that devote their hearts to you. Here, you're more than just a patient. It's more than just monetary. Your concerns are valid, they listen, go above and beyond, answer your questions, help, you're permitted to call and speak to the physicians and most importantly, you feel safe and trusting. You're treated like family. I sincerely am forever grateful to this establishment and all of the people involved that make it great! “My Ellie was a patient here and South Mills for 13 years. I am so happy with the service we received all those years. Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to my girl last week, and I cannot express how wonderful Dr. Cameron and the technician (I'm so sorry, I cannot remember her name...I was a mess!) were through the whole experience. The compassion they showed to Ellie and myself is something I will never forget. Although I miss her like crazy, I know that she left this Earth surrounded by very caring people.“

When our senior boy was having health problems they went above and beyond to get us in and arrange for all tests needed. They called us to check in while he was at Akron Medvet and sent flowers the day after his passing. It meant so much to us. We have two GSDs now and they know them both by name and our senior girl (Elsa) is treated like a princess when she walks in the door. They truly treat our dogs like the loved family members they are.“

I called today to make an appointment for my new puppy and was told they couldn't give me anything for 6 weeks. When I asked why so long the girl said," well we haven't seen this pet". I said I had just been in there in a september with my other dog and she said that makes no difference. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she said they were all gone. All gone at 2:05 in the afternoon when they are open until 10:00 P Update: I called and spoke to Andrea, who I've known from taking my other dog to them and got an appointment within a week. Toby has had his Neuter here and loved the staff. The difference in the price for his surgery was over $300 less at Town and Country. So, we are going to Dr Drotar and she is great.“

“Dr Maro is a great vet for basic veterinary needs such as vaccinations, illness, injuries, pain management such as chiropractic & acupuncture, etc… however I don’t feel he has the staffing, space, or means to perform surgeries. I appreciate his evening hours but when it comes to spading & neutering or any other type of surgery I will take my pets to a different facility. Overall he’s a great Dr and we will continue to take our pets to him for our pets routine veterinary needs. Thanks Dr. Maro!“
