My 10 year old daughter and 4 year old son take karate at Young’s Martial Arts. My daughter started a little over a year ago, and I have seen so much growth not only with her karate skills, but also with her confidence and self-discipline. She has more confidence with other sports and activities at school, like student council. In class, I have heard Master Young say that you must learn to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. That was a struggle for my daughter at first, but I am seeing so much improvement. My son has been going to Young’s martial arts about a year now. I’ve seen so much growth in him during this time. They not only learn karate, but also discipline and how to be accountable. It really helps build their confidence as well, when they put in the work and see their results they are so proud of themselves. Master Young and Master Nancy are great with the kids! They’re great instructors, offering patience, kindness, some joking around and how to work hard and push through to reach their goals. The kids really respect them and it shows. We’re so glad our son is a part of Young’s.
