I was interested in the lash line enhancement but kept putting it off because I was scared. In fact, I nearly cancelled last minute when I got cold feet. Fortunately, Mary had done my brows previously and the amount in time she took during that, in addition to her care in making sure I was comfortable, allowed me to see the appointment through. I am so glad I did. Mary again took the time to make sure the lash line enhancement was painless. I am thrilled with the results. Because I have blonde lashes, I look very tired without eye makeup. Now I can feel comfortable waking up and going. I cannot recommend Mary and her services enough!

Getting your lips blushed, the inside story, my experience with Mary at the Philocalist Spa. Let’s begin. I met Mary by happenstance over a year ago and started getting derma plane facials. As a 56-year-old woman this service helped me look more youthful over time. I have NEVER liked my lips, they just sat on my face, no definition, barely any pigment and when I’d wear lipstick – it would be gone in a matter of hours. I’m not one of those re-apply; re-apply; re-apply girls. I like to keep it simple. I was so thrilled when Mary told me she was going to be offering the Lip Blush service! If you are nervous about getting this done. DON’T BE. Mary is highly trained, and like the other services she offers, is a master at this craft. As a cancer survivor I was pleased to know that the equipment she uses is the same as what my doctor used to tattoo my areola as part of my reconstruction post double mastectomy. Mary takes her time with you. We picked out the color I’d use together, SHE LISTENS to what you want for your final result and is very patient during this process. Once that’s complete, she maps your lip for you; and shows you what your new lip shape will look like. (this was a stunning change for me personally because I have never had any real definition to my lips). I was immediately excited at this point! After applying numbing medication, she began by outlining my lip, then started filling in. She explained everything she was doing, and I felt very much at ease. I know what your thinking … “what did it feel like?”. Well pain is very subjective, for me it wasn’t much of anything. I’ve had a tattoo before, and the feeling was very much the same. Tiny pin pricks, that are more like scratches if anything at all. Is there swelling? Yes, but it was gone when I woke up the following morning. Upon completion of the service, Mary gave me a to-go bag of essentials for after care. Ladies, follow these instructions. My lips feel great and look amazing.
