She is the most compassionate vet hands down i have known. Sadly and unexpectedly my 6 month old rat had a stoke and needed to be put to sleep due to pain and she lost ability to eat/drink. Dr. Laura was on vacation and i wasnt able to wait of course. I called around and was shocked of the price difference. It was well under $100 for Dr. Laura vs over $200 at another local vet. It just a shame that money would decide the fate. Blessed as we were, nature tooks it course and she passed quickly. With my past experience rats are loyal and tough and will fight even though they are in so much pain. Just a big shout out to you Dr. Laura....you are amazing and know your heart...read full review

I have only been to hunter pet care once for a nail clipping... the staff is very friendly and under special circumstances (death in family/needing to travel last minute etc) they are willing to work with you and squeeze an appointment in short notice! ... (former review criticism: b/c it bothered me - the review by shauntae of 1 star should REALLY be disregarded b/c this is a regular vet office & groomer... you don't just show up with an injured animal to a regular vet office, especially if they have never seen your pet before... you need an emergency vet for that - and I'm certain the staff would have directed her to the emergency animal hospital in moraine that handles that just 30 minutes away. So, I give shauntae 1 star for her unfair review and her own irresponsibility!) That's like giving a pizza place 1 star b/c they don't serve hamburgers. Absolutely ridiculous.

Didn't go here for the best of reasons, but the vet & staff were very understanding. They helped us get through it giving us and our dog respect & sympathy. I am very appreciative of everything they did for us.
