J.Tiger Martial Arts Taekwondo Martial Arts Schools

“J.Tiger is not only teaching my son the physical techniques of taekwondo, but also playing a pivotal role in helping to shape the behavioral life of my son.He has so much passion in this art that I am using it to my advantage. Whenever he chooses to be stubborn, I refuse to take him for training, and if I do, I’ll ensure I tell Master Kim about his behavior.Master Kim will in turn reiterates the philosophy, values and principles of the art, this alway put him on track 100%.My daughter also started few introductory techniques, can’t wait to see how much time I’ll have to balance up for both of them.Everybody is respectful at J.Tiger,my husband and I appreciate them so much. We feel like one family in the sport.Love You J.Tiger Martial Arts.“

“My son has been here for several years. The classes are structured and challenging for my son. They provide classes geared towards competition as well, which i believe an important aspect to learn in life. The studio is fairly large compared to others and has a variety of equipment for drills and training. The instructors care about the development and improvement of the students.“

Team Chitwood Martial Arts & Fitness Martial Arts Schools

“Awesome group of people ! From the leadership to the ppl that train there. It appears that anyone who has trained there for some time takes ownership in "how" the classes run. They foster a learning environment and are quick to say "take care of your training partner, we all have to go to work tomorrow." I'm over 50 and I Havent experienced anything that settles your mind better than BJJ. A trusted friend who was going to this gym got me started and his reasoning was that "these are the kind of people that we like to be around." ppl that don't take themselves too serious, work hard, have a good time and no ego. He was correct and I am fortunate to have started at Chitwood. This is the only BJJ gym I've been around, but it's easy to see how the wrong atmosphere could be very intimidating and turn someone off to Bjj altogether. So, If you're thinking about BJJ, I recommend starting with Chitwood. For myself, after a couple months it was obvious that if i didnt enjoy going to class, it will most likely because BJJ isn't for me and not because of the atmosphere or ppl there.“

“My 15 year old son loves this place. The people are extremely nice and patient with those who are learning. The practices are engaging and include all levels (basic, medium complexity and advanced) of activities. The cost is very affordable: 100$ per month for adults and 65$ for those under 18.You can come to any of the classes throughout the week, but ideally they recommend to come at least 2-3 times a week so that you keep progressing.“

Aikido of Columbus Martial Arts Schools

“My first visit to Aikido of Columbus was for a workshop for Being in Movement for everyday applications. Paul Linden is one of the best teachers I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, truly empowering his students by listening and trusting us to experiment. Throughout the workshop as well as Aikido classes, Paul taught me to listen to my body, and helped me uncover truths about myself I thought didn't matter. Paul, thank you for the life changing experience, the community, the sacred space you've created (both in Columbus and in our minds/bodies), and for the global work you do building peace and healing trauma.“

“Love this school! As a business owner I am particular about the work I do and always expect the best results. So happy to have found a school with the same values and expectations. Yes, I am an adult participant, and attended for a short time while in school in the area. I was looking for a great workout and the benefit of self defense skills was a plus. Also, being new to the area, I enjoyed the Village TKD family events. It is a family business with over 30 years of combined experience. They LOVE what they do and always keep it interesting with new workouts, relays and practice skills. Their fees are reasonable compared to other schools. And, they have multiple class times available during the week.Don't wait!!! Start now. I wish I would have 30 years ago or more....“
