I am very pleased with my results. I went into the shop with a picture not expecting them to do my hair exactly like the picture and they exceeded my expectations. Most can't duplicate, and they got away with this one. This was my 2nd time getting my hair braided in 10 yrs since i've been loc'd and a loose natural with no weave whatsoever. That 1st time last year i came out the shop and my head was so sore i took it down the next day. I think it's because i cut my locs off to my new growth and my hair was too short and my head was too sensitive. I have high expectations as it relates to African Hair Braiders. My hair was braided by Ayesha (sp) and she was thorough. The price was reasonable and everyone is working to get customers in and out. I tried Roxanne Braids by the Dayton Mall it was dirty, the people are rude, and unable to do certain styles. Fe Fe's Braids was clean, really nice shop, and professional but extremely overpriced. Mai seems to have the best pricing, quality work, and a variety of styles the braiders are capable of producing.The entire place was filled with customers on a week day, which says Mai has room to grow her business. I have visited Mai’s 3 times now…. Main thing my hair is growing!!! Next I’ll say that my braids always look great…. 1st trip I got singles…. They were really tight… like 3-4 days tight…. However this is what I expected and have always experienced when dealing with a great braider. They lasted me like 60 days and I could’ve went longer… my next style was knotless…. This style didn’t hurt at all and seemed to be quicker… lasted about 60 days as well… the last style was a lemonade ponytail….. tight but not to tight… I guess overall I’m satisfied with my experiences there..
