This is a resident clinic, and I was prepared for that. Dr. Mengesha (resident) was wonderful and helpful, offering me the tests that I also believed were appropriate to my situation. However, the supervising doctor, Dr. Vondra I believe, treated me negligibly. I came in with months of pain, nausea, and other symptoms affecting my everyday life, and she took back several of the things Dr. Mengesha told me and literally said "it's not that serious." Here I am several weeks later, with symptoms worsening. I messaged Dr. Mengesha on Mychart and learned that the supervising doctor misinformed me. I looked back on her notes and see she wrote not 1, not 2, but 3 incorrect notes in my chart. Now, I will have to explain to a new doctor the discrepancies between what I've actually been going through and what she wrote down carelessly. I have already rescheduled my appointment for a different location, and I recommend you look elsewhere as well if you have any serious health concerns. Doctors aside, the employees at check-in were very kind and helpful. My appointment started a bit later than expected. The first nurse to see me had a wet cough, but her mask was worn below the nose. The supervising doctor and most staff I encountered after this did not wear a mask. The testing area was very chaotic with televisions playing out loud and a packed room of patients with no employees out to control noise or seating at all. Several people missed their number being called because it was sooo loud in the waiting area. The person who took my blood tests was very friendly and comforting. However, after drawing my blood, she did not check my chart and missed an important test, which I was not able to return for. Overall, there are some good people here, but operations feel rushed and neglectful in many ways. I do not recommend.
Always busy. Be prepared. Great service anywhere I've interacted. My main complaint is how the parking lot is so poorly laid out. Aisles are narrow, so are the individual spaces. And when a large Chevy or Ford pickup pulls into a space it sticks out far enough to cause problems in the traffic aisle. Minimalist cafe on section on floor but a nice place to sit if you are waiting. Glad this is in this part of Columbus.
Another OSU satellite building. I went there to visit the neurology department to have a nerve conductivity test performed. The medical facility has a large parking lot which is free but that lot...it is nothing short of horrendous. The lanes between parking are so very narrow and the lanes are also NOT one way which at times is problematic. Not nearly enough handicap spots however, the number falls within the legal reserved amount. The entrance doors are automatic. Thats a huge plus. There is a nice welcome desk and appointment check in space with ample seating. I had been to this location before renovation and post renovation it is much cleaner looking which made me feel more comfortable. Hall directional signs have improved too. I didnt get lost and needed no assistance finding neurology. Check in went smooth, the attendant was very polite and friendly. Waiting room was comfortable and clean. Took less than five minutes to get my room. Bonus! Was seen by tech immediately. The conductivity test was run by tech and then when it got more complex by doctor. Both medical staff members were excellent and explained everything very well. Highly recommend the caregivers and the neurology depaetment... the location, well...Meh. Try to get one of the newer buildings. I felt my car would get backed into or dinged while I I was inside as the parking is too tight. (But car was fine.)
