This Home Instead Location makes you pay for your own background checks and will not reimburse you . The other Home Instead companies do not make you pay for your background check . This Location will take your money first for your background check then tell you you have to wait 30 days for your background check to return. Which will cause you a delay to work for the company. So technically, it’s a scam. They scam you out of $35 for a background check knowing the background check results can take up to 30 days. The reviews are very misleading. I spoke to a wonderful woman on the phone about setting up services. She informed me a woman named Betty would call. She called and I no longer wanted services. She kept trying to squeeze us. I refused services for a reason. Owner is a piece of work. My expectations were higher and this place is a disappointment. Do not be fooled by the reviews.
I highly recommend Home Instead of Columbus. Betty Phillips does a fantastic job and her staff is very caring. The caregiver Melissa (Mimi) who provided comfort care to my mother was one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Mimi was kind, caring, attentive and just a loving person. My mother's care was exceptional.
