The only reason I'm giving them a 2 is because of my experience with the unprofessional receptionist they have working there the rest of the staff is fine. I had a scheduled procedure and me and my friend entered and wasn't explained anything was just told to sit down. It was close to my appointment time and I had not been called up or told anything, so it was close to my appointment time so I went up. I asked her about what was going on. Without even lifting her head or making eye contact she state rudly" mam I will call you up in a minute I'm doing something ". I went here for a colonoscopy and had a great experience. I was nervous because of some of the negative reviews, but the facility was very clean, the nurses were very nice and my procedure went well. I will be going to them again for my next procedure!
It feels odd to be writing a Yelp review for an endoscopy center, but having been here twice for a...er..."routine procedure," I must admit that I couldn't be happier with the service. All of the staff seem to be a good blend of positive and professional, and while it's never an "enjoyable" experience to have procedures like these done, there's no question that I would recommend Downtown Endoscopy Center. Personally, I didn't have to wait very long on either visit, and the staff were very understanding about the desire to be in and out as quickly as possible. On my latest visit, Christmas music was playing in the background, and I could hear staff members gaily signing along, despite it being 8:00 AM. When I was ultimately wheeled into the examination room, all staff members chatted calmly and positively to me about the process...and that's about where I have to finish my review, since the conscious sedation wipes out short term memory for the next few hours. Is it possible that horrible things happened in the minutes that followed? Yes. But unless my girlfriend is in on a dark agenda in which they somehow programmed me to do some evil deed during the time I don't remember, I must conclude that the entire process was procedurally painless from start to finish. Note: I know Yelp encourages users to post pictures. I have *several* pictures I was provided with before leaving, but I'm pretty sure none of you want to see them.
