Honestly I have never felt before like a healthcare center cares about me as a person before AHF. Specifically their employee Aja, who has gone out of her way several times to take extra care to see that I am comfortable with what is happening during my visit and informed about my care. I am so so grateful for her and for AHF. Thank you guys for being here. It makes a huge difference to know that I can count on someplace for health services.
I have been a patient at AHF for over 5 years and I can confidently say that they prioritize their patients with the utmost care and unconditional positive regard. They are flexible, patient, and understanding. If you are looking for an LGBTQ affirming healthcare provider with low to no cost options, then I cannot recommend enough! They have a great team of doctors, NPs, phlebotomists, and front desk staff that are incredibly helpful and compassionate.
First, please see the lowest scores which i just read as a first time reviewer. They are all very old. It’s my understanding the current set and staffing is all new in the last couple years. There is the one pissy about a survey but that is far from what concerns me when seeking the. Best most knowledgeable HIV Dr. in the Midwest. To say caring is such and understatement it is ridiculous. A Dr that sits down to literally draw a picture, on the horrible paper covering the exam table, so I can understand my situation is AMAZING AND ONE OF A KIND!
