The Schvitz Social Club est. 1927

The Schvitz Social Club, established in 1927, is one of the last remaining old-world European Bathhouses & Social Clubs in the country. Reservations are required, with available days and times varying. The Club typically opens around 2pm, but Special Event Sundays, featuring Co-Ed or Ladies-Only Days and Gameday Parties, begin around noon. The Schvitz offers a unique experience. Guests can enjoy a traditional steam bath, followed by a scrub down and oak leaf flogging by an attendant. A 30-minute massage is also available. The Club provides towels, and there are showers both inside and outside the bathhouse area. An outdoor space is available for relaxing or smoking. The dining room upstairs serves a salad and a large, flavorful steak with garlic, onions, peppers, and roasted potatoes. Soft drinks are available in a cooler. The atmosphere is welcoming, often with guests watching football games together.
