I spent 3 hours trying to detangle a matted knot from my 3 year olds head, after lots of tears I googled salons near me specializing in curls and came to green opal. I was told they normally don’t service anyone under 12, but they’d take a chance on my girl. Hailey, Megan and Kiley (sp) made sure my child didn’t leave with a single knot. Megan spent two hours oiling and picking the mat out her hair until it was gone, Kiley joined in and helped the process along greatly. These women saved me and my daughter today and it may not have seemed huge to them, but it was to me. They didn’t charge me anything after all the trouble they went through for me. I cannot recommend this salon and the beautiful ladies here enough. I will tell everyone to come to green opal. Thank you all so so much.“

“I have had a hard time finding a “blonde specialist.”I am super picky about the color and I hate when my hair has warmth. I’m so grateful to have found Amber, who took a tremendous amount of time yesterday time to fix my hair. Blonde tones can change in different lighting - so it needs to look good straight (which shows everything), but curls shows the beautiful dimension - as you can see from the pics straight or curly it’s perfect.

It was an instant connection, Amber is so calm and confident. I immediately picked up on her empathetic nature. ♥️

“Best Barber Shop I have even been to! Everything was just perfect. The shop is wonderfully decorated, the owner lost his son and there is a wall devoted to him, I meet all 3 barbers and they were so nice. Mags trimmed my beard and shaved my head (Strait Razor). I will defiantly come back if I am even in Cleveland again. It is kind of hard to find. Since it is in a shopping center and I did not see any sign outside at the street. If it had not been for Google Maps. I would have never found it. I also ate next door at the diner and it was great also.“

“I love coming to Folicle, everybody is always so welcoming and polite. They run a well-oiled machine; I’ve never noticed anyone running late or behind, the place is spotless, and checking in and out and setting appointments is fast and easy.

I come to Kristen, she’s amazing. She styles not just my hair but my mom’s and my sister’s as well. My hair has changed due to medication so she’s adjusted my typical highlight routine to be a bit gentler, and it looks fantastic! Her technique made my roots look intentional when they grew out, and now that we’re keeping the roots at my natural color, the blending between natural and lightened hair looks so. good. One of my hair goals is growing it out nice and long, and Kristen has been incredible with keeping my hair’s health in mind. My ends look healthy, I don’t have any crazy breakage, and never once has my hair gotten fried or over-processed.

She also talked me out of impulsively getting blunt bangs a couple months ago, and thank god she did. They look nice but they’re just not my style. “Since moving to the greater CLE area 2 years ago, I’d yet to find a good spot to get my haircut. I’d had the same person take care of my hair for almost a decade before moving here, and it’d been hard to find anywhere where I felt genuinely comfortable, “listened to” in terms of what I wanted for my hair, and checkin in on as the cut progressed. Yesterday I booked an appointment for a cut and a perm at 6th City and it was everything I’d been looking for in a barbershop/salon and more! Kali did my perm and she was a pleasure to work with! She was super consultative, asked great questions, and was very informative in explaining my options and the perming process. Tim and Casey both took care of my cut itself (a drop fade) both before and after the perm. Tim was super precise, talked with me about doing anything different than the reference picture I shared with him, and he worked as a team with Kali to ensure that my hair would be appropriately prepped for her to perm once he was done. Once my perm was complete, Casey finished my cut off and she did an amazing job carving my fade to perfection and blending it into my perm. The shop looks sharp, the staff are so friendly and work as a true team (not just a collection of barbers and stylists just sharing a space), and my hair looked great when I walked out the door! I finally found my CLE spot for my hair, and I’ll definitely be back!“
