I would definitely recommend Dr. Sheng if you have chronic conditions that have been difficult to control with western medications in the past. I have struggled with eczema for my whole life and felt frustrated that medications like topical steroids just suppress flare-ups temporarily but do not actually help long term. I decided I might as well try Chinese medication for a different approach. It definitely took some patience, but at around 4-5 months I really saw improvement in my skin. For the first time in many years, I did not have any active eczema flares. The disease process of a lot of chronic pain and inflammation issues is still not completely understood and I think that eastern medicine has a lot to offer in this realm of medicine. Dr. Sheng was supportive and patient during this whole period of time - a great holistic doctor!
I would highly recommend Dr Sheng for any acupuncture needs. I am being treated for severe neuropathy that was caused by chemotherapy. Neuropathy is very difficult to cure and it is a long process. Today I was able to walk into the office using my cane instead of a walker I was greeted with very happy faces and kind words. I am very grateful to Dr. Sheng and his persistence to help me get back to a normal life.
I drive over an hour and a half one way to get treatment from Dr. Sheng. He is working with me for esophageal dismotility and I am pleased with my results. He is very caring and answers all my questions. Also, he is educated in both eastern and western medicine which makes me feel like I have the best of both worlds. In addition, his office staff is always pleasant and caring in person and on the phone.
