If you are looking for something new, friendly people and a place to move your body this is a fantastic group! Heather and her team bring fun, high energy but low impact dances that will help you get your day started in the best way! Can’t wait to be back!
YES!!! I love dancefix! I've been two times. After my first visit I immediately told friends about it. YOU WILL SWEAT. and have soo much fun! If you love dancing and being in a positive and upbeat environment this is the experience for you. Give it a try!
Even though I have some background in dance, I was a little intimidated to try DANCEFIX knowing that you're thrown into learning the choreographed dances on the spot. I decided to give it a try during their week of free classes in early January, and I'm so glad I did! Everyone was friendly, and they took a little more time to breakdown some of the dances since there were so many new people visiting that week. I would describe DANCEFIX as a more "dance version" of Zumba. There's a mix of Latin, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop etc. which makes it appeal to multiple people. It's high energy and lot of cardio, so everyone is sweating by the end of it. It took an amount of concentration to follow the different routines, but I felt so good afterwards and was excited to try it again. This particular studio is smaller, but it made it easy to see the instructor and even with a full house, there was plenty of room to move around. It was difficult to find, so know that it's inside one of the buildings and directly across from the Sleepy Bee. They have a cool down period at the end of class (they provide yoga mats or you can bring your own) with some short exercises and stretching. Wear footwear that you're comfortable in, but I would highly recommend wearing jazz sneakers or something that's easy to do spins and turns to prevent risk of injury. Give it a try and have a blast!
