The institute provides over 50 classes a week in five different martial arts systems, including Muay Thai, Gracie Jiu Jitsu, Kali/Silat, traditional martial arts, and combatives training. The facility includes a dojo, a boxing ring, locker rooms, and a spacious weight room. The Brown Institute is known for its welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere, with Sensei Brown making every student feel valued and not just a number. The institute offers classes for adults, children, and private instruction. Sensei Brown is highly skilled in self-defense and runs the best all-around self-defense dojo in the area. His self-defense classes are highly recommended for both children and adults. Students who have taken his classes, including a group of girls heading off to college, have reported feeling empowered, confident, and knowledgeable in self-defense skills. Recently, the institute received praise for its interaction with children, especially Sensei Brown's incredible engagement with kids aged 9, 11, and 13.
