“I always wanted a German Shepherd and I finally got one. I brought her home and she was full of energy and love but was so unruly, we thought we might have to find her a new home. I had failed multiple times trying to train her myself and was about to give up but then I found Estate Dogs. I chose the kennel option where she would stay a week and work with Shawn and I would pick her up at the end of the week. In just two weeks of working with Shawn she was a completely different dog! She did both the on leash and off leash program. Shawn doesn't just train the dog, he watches you and educates you on what he is doing so you understand what the dog is capable of as well as the why and how. In just about 2 months I went from having a tornado to having a well behaved dog that I can confidently take everywhere with me. Having Shawn teach you and your dog is worth every penny. “Canine Academy is simply AMAZING! We have a 200lb English Mastiff (Wally) who is a big doofus. Wonderful beastie, but really (unintentionally) intimidates other dogs and people with his size and his excitedness. Our other BIG problem (with such a big dog) is that when our dude wanted to go somewhere or do something he set his mind to, we simply couldnt hold him back.
We had tried a different boarder that is closer to us, but they completely percieved Wallys nervousness and confusion as aggression. We were told within a few hrs to "come collect your dog".
Canine Academy was highly recomended online, but 1.5hrs away. We werent sure, but took the chance. Canine Academy was INCREDIBLE! They did a thorough intake assessment, to see exactly what we needed and gave us a full tour of the facilities (something the other place refused to do). The campus was very impressive and extremely clean (very well maintained and kept). We had a 12 day boarding, while on a vacation, and had Alex assigned as a trainer for the 10day training. Wally is doing magnificently well! We had regular updates and pics of his progress. Dude was playing with other dogs, had one-on-one playtime with staff, "sniff-walks", regular walks... all of which we got details on from various staff and caretakers. Today, we picked up Wally and had extensive training (for us) from Alex, who showed off some phenomenal progress. Alex showed how their method was simply opening clear communication with our beastie. Wally is doing SO well, even on the first day. Responding to simple commands, no pulling, no bullheaded ignoring us. Dude is still very much the same goofy, giant doofus... but really more fun, less nervous and easier to care for. Looking forward to future lessons and more classes and better days ahead. “I have a 5 year old male mountain cur mix who I thought would be impossible to train. We have tried so many things to train him but have had the most success with Brett! Scotty (mountain cur) gets very distracted and does not have the confidence to go through a walk without misbehaving. After a week with Brett, Scotty is much better at listening and completing commands. Today we took him out to a public park and he did not misbehave once. “We adopted our sweet dog Hazel from GiGis a year ago and the process was quick and smooth. Hazel came to GiGis as a stray and was treated for a host of issues as well as spayed while she was with them. She was also vaccinated and chipped. We met her in a private room and brought her home on the same day. She was happy and healthy when we took her home and has been the best dog I’ve ever had. She has so much love to give and we are so grateful to GiGis for their role in rescuing her.“

In fact, I had two dogs euthanized at two different times and was treated with great kindness throughout the process. The whole office was very professional and helpful.
