“Giovanni’s barbershop in North Akron is a must stop if your are interested in how your hair looks. I have had my haircut by all three gentlemen and they all exceeded expectations not once but do so consistently. It is not a place where the initial cut is good and thereafter just so so. I primarily have Dan cut my hair now as his extended hours seem to lineup best with my scheduling needs. Dan is a great barber, his bald fades or any haircut for that matter are top notch. My son was so happy with haircuts from the moment we left the first time. My son is now 19 and continues to love his haircuts by Roger and lord knows this boy is picky about his hair. “Welcome Home to your new Hair Artist, Stylist and Barber, Chaunte Sistrunk! As we pulled into the front, I thought "what an interesting building". It used to be a place to groom your furry friends, Dog Kennel and many Years later, a place to get groomed and be pampered, a Barber Shop extraordinaire. Well manicured front yard and rough hewn wood board exterior, I did not know what to expect once inside. But, once I reached the door, a beautiful door, and opened it, a pretty (no beautiful) lady with salt and pepper short, curly hair greeted me with a lovely smile. She was trimming and cutting a gentleman who has gone to her for almost 40 years! We sat comfortably in her living room furniture as I admired her home for healthy hair. She does it all at a well priced menu. I watched as she finely groomed hair, took a unibrow to crafted brows and chiseled moustache. Her place is warm and inviting and decorated with good taste and fine details. Clean and neat with nothing out of place... soothing music playing during your visit. She knows, I am next in her chair!“

“To start off, I find it difficult to find a place to cut my hair consistently, due to my own picky habits. I've gone to The Devils Strip a few times now and enjoyed every experience. The most recent one on 4-2, Jim cut my hair. I have an issue where I sweat far more than the average person, and I gotta say, Jim handled it like an absolute professional. He never made a deal about me sweating/ how much I was. I made a small mention and gave me a towel - didn't make a deal out of it, didn't dwell on the subject. Continued the haircut and our conversation. Not only did he make me feel welcomed (by remembering me), he worked with myself, and gave me a great haircut.

If you're looking for a 'guy', I promise you he can take care of you. If someone ask picky as me has gone back a few times, you're in good hands.“

“John and Jamie cut hair for both men and women. She also does color. They are good people and are good at what they do. John is my barber and I am a woman. Because of him, I will always go to a barber rather than a cosmetologist. Lots of cosmetologists are not skilled at cuts. Their schooling is different than a barber's. Barbers focus on cuts. Once you have the right cut everything else falls into place. Not all barbers cut women's hair, and many women are barbers. Try a cut from a barber like John - you'll be happy you did. “I would come here time and time again, decent prices, amazing haircuts and a great atmosphere. It’s usually kinda busy but that’s because EVERYBODY likes it and trust me. It IS worth it.

$40-$50 gets you an amazing haircut, your beard lined up mustache and eyebrows on point as well as leaving your barber a great tip.

Rich is who I have been coming to for awhile now (I made the mistake of going somewhere else and getting it butchered, he still fixed it and made it look spectacular.) I will NEVER experiment with another barber anymore, it will ONLY be him.
