“Wonderful self-defense workshop. Adam taught us techniques to implement should the need arise and shared very useful and practical guidance regarding staying safe. Our missions are very aligned in that we both want to help women cultivate confidence and calm ~ from the outside in and from the inside out. Creating a sense of self-belief and agency is not only possible but necessary. Thanks for the great experience! Looking forward to more ?“

“This establishment personifies the “good old days”. Instructors are sharp, intelligent, and very thorough with students. Confidence and discipline are critical for our youth; Connolly and Sessa do very well with all levels of training and skill. I thank them very much for accepting my daughter and instilling proper direction and respect. 5 stars all the way. Happy to be part of the MAU family.“

DeVito's Taekwondo Martial Arts Schools

“I have nothing but positive things to share about DeVito's Taekwondo. My son, Evan, has been a student of Master D for years and he is one belt away from his black belt. It took a long time to find the right activity for Evan because he really does not like competitive sports. Taekwondo is perfect for him because the competition is really only with himself. This dojang has provided him with a safe and supportive environment where he can go to have fun, move his body, and learn a lot of important life skills. Every time we attend class, Evan is more motivated to practice and do his best!!I would also add that the schedule is amazing because there are many classes offered during the week and you can "drop in" to whatever class works for your schedule. Master D sometimes holds classes outside and has an amazing air filtration system so we have felt very safe attending throughout the pandemic. If you live anywhere close to this dojang and you think your child would benefit from an experience like this - I encourage you to try it out!! It is a hidden gem. :)“

Yasuragi Dojo Martial Arts Schools

“Anyone looking to learn a new martial art and embrace a very special piece of culture that's been preserved for literally generations, this is the place for you. From the instruction, to the class format, to the other training partners you're truly made to feel welcome as you take on the physical and mental/emotional difficulties of learning/doing something completely foreign to you in a group setting“

37 Woodfield Rd, Katonah
Aikido Arts of Shin-Budo Kai NY Martial Arts Schools

“My son wanted to try this martial art, so I took him to Family Class for a few months, which was a great experience, and then I became hooked, and am now in my second year. I had never done any martial arts before and was nervous about "being a beginner", but the students and teachers are talented and helpful and the atmosphere is one of comraderie, with a strong emphasis on safety and personal development. If you're thinking of giving it a try, stop thinking about it, and come join us for a class or two!“

17 Peekskill Hollow Rd # 1A, Putnam Valley
Mountain Stream Budo Martial Arts Schools

“My son has been a karate student here for 3 months now. He is a fun-loving, high energy kiddo, who finds most sports boring. To say that he enjoys karate at this Dojo is an understatement. Usually, he gets frustrated and down on himself when he doesn't get things right the first time. I don't know how he does it, but somehow Sensei Noah has a way of giving him feedback that he can receive without being so hard on himself. My husband and I especially love the way all of the students celebrate eachother's successes, and how the higher ranks happily help the lower ranks meet their personal goals. The night he earned his Orange Belt he kept saying, "Wow im so proud of myself for passing my test guys!" The self discipline he is learning here will be a life long gift. We are so thankful for the positive impact that Mountain Stream Budo and Sensei Noah has had on our boy.“
