10/10 we absolutely love Dr Dan and his crew. I called randomly because my new to me golden retriever Lucky had some nasty ears and they got me in that evening and he had a double ear infection. I am so blessed when every other vet I called wasn’t accepting new patients. Lucky, also just got fixed last week and a nurse called me the next day to check on him and see if I had any questions. I love this office and Dr Dan is so sweet and patient, I recommend them to everyone.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. There are no words to fully express my satisfaction or my gratitude to York Animal hospital. Their team is top notch, the front desk staff, the technicians and the Doctors are truly special people and do an amazing job. It is evident that everyone knows what they are doing and that they communicate well throughout the practice so everyone is on the same page. The clinic is clean along with being warm and inviting. Walking in you are greeted with kindness and efficiency that immediately puts you at ease. There is something to be said about a smaller practice versus larger clinics. You get that personal touch along with excellent care standards. I specifically worked with Dr Bruce (Ingersoll) and technicians Jen and Kristi. My dog was not a patient there until yesterday, the staff didn't know us and could have easily turned us away as many places did. Instead Kristi listened to me, respected my knowledge about what my dog needed, more importantly she was compassionate and appreciated my desperation and helped me figure out a plan. My very geriatric dog Jada (13 and a half year old American bulldog) needed urgent surgery and time was of the essence. Within a day they got her in. Throughout Jada's visit and surgery the communication was awesome. Dr Bruce took the time to explain everything and answered all of my questions. He gave me honest, thoughtful answers about what care/surgery they could provide and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable with proceeding. I truly got the sense he was advising me on the best possible course without offering false promises just to get me to agree to the surgery. Dr Bruce himself updated not once but twice during surgery to put my mind at ease and ensured I was agreeable to what he was doing. He also provided the post-op summary, he made the arrangements for Jada to recover at a 24hr clinic overnight, to ensure she came out of anesthesia safely due to her age. Dr Bruce, Jen and the rest of the team saved my girl. Without them she would have needed to be put to sleep or passed away within a very short time. From the time I called to request they see Jada to the point where the technicians were helping to get her safely in my car for transport, the kindness and compassion was evident. They truly cared and wanted the best for Jada. I will forever be grateful. Despite York being about a hour away from me I will continue to use them for veterinary services, it is worth the drive/time. As far as costs, York is not out to break the bank, they are beyond fair. They provide excellent care for a reasonable price, they made it possible for me to do what was right for my dog. Veterinary care is an expense, there is no way around that, as a pet owner that should be considered before bringing in any new family member to your home. I highly recommend York Animal hospital to anyone that needs care for their pet.

There is no better veterinary hospital than York. I have taken my multitude of critters there for almost 30 years. The caring and compassion is amazing as they work diligently to always be on the same page I lost both of my big, black dogs in August. WORSE month EVER. There have been emergencies over the years, but I prefer no one see my “kids” but York. Boogie was a very old girl. It was a Saturday that she just couldn’t get up anymore. The sobbing phone call as they said, “please bring her in”. Such hard choices, but we owe both their caregivers and them only the best. Kane was our big, squirrelly boy that was always afraid. The cookies provided on every visit helped calm him. He’d gone through some liver issues a couple of years ago. I thought the care was very reasonable and he recovered well. This past July proved differently. Fast growing tumors within 5 weeks everywhere. An old, big guy - but always trusting the technicians and doctors. Once again, late morning Saturday- our boy screaming in pain. That difficult call - head this way-we will wait for you. Many cookies and that same difficult decision. Care, kindness, compassion. I’m sure they all would love to be with their families I still have multiple cats, but am looking for another big, black dog rescue. He/she will only be a patient at York
