We needed 24 windows to replace 1958 aluminum framed windows, which included 3 picture window units of 9 ft., 7 ft., and 6 ft. lengths, as part of the renovation of our family home. After extensive research into several window manufacturers and contractors, we chose Authentic Window Design, a Marvin dealer and installer in Westchester County, NY. We just had the job done and are very we chose them. We were highly impressed with the knowledge, presentation and low-pressure, helpful approach of their sales consultant, Natacha Montoya. We chose the Marvin Essential all-fiberglass window line because of their quality, strength (8x’s stronger than vinyl) , slim design, durability and being primarily maintenance-free, along with their 10-year transferable warranty. We had concern about air leakage because the side of the home with the most windows and a sliding door unit was subjected to temperature extremes due to its southern exposure. The Marvin Essential windows met our concerns about expansion and contraction because the frame and sash expand at the same rate as the glass so there is less chance of air leakage. Given the strength of the fiberglass there is less chance of warping and cracking. And, we can’t say enough wonderful things about the craftsmanship and job done by Vlad and his installation crew from Authentic. They were courteous, respectful of our property, neat, clean, and efficient. The floors and stairs were covered upon the crew’s arrival so there was no concern about tracking dirt and debris in the home. At the end of each workday, the crew cleaned up after themselves. On top of that, the 3 ½ inch exterior trim around the windows and sliding door unit and the 2 ½ inch colonial trim, sill and apron on the interior of the windows were done to perfection. we were very impressed with Authentic Window Design. We walked into their show room without an appointment. They were in the process of moving and all their displays were packed up and scattered around the showroom. Natasha came out and greeted us. She was unfazed and, after asking us a few questions to determine our needs, immediately sprang into action unpacking and demonstrating windows. Before we left we were given an appointment for her to take measurements. Within days a detailed proposal for each window was prepared. After reviewing the proposal we scheduled an appointment to finalize the agreement and sign a contract. Although we were given a firm commitment for a delivery date ,the windows were delivered to their warehouse weeks in advance. we were given the opportunity to have the installed that week or at some later date. We were told that installation would take 3 days. It was completed by 3pm on the first day. Their contractor arrived early with twice the number of workers tha we expected. The quality of their work was impeccable. The crew was friendly and clearly this was not their first window installation job. Clean up was flawless. Natasha was not just the salesperson she took ownership of the project.
