We gave a deposit of $4500 for a modular home to be built by Westchester Modular. Two middle men that they had us use as " General Contractors" took our money, told us they gave it to Westchester Modular and then "disappeared". Westchester Modular said they didn't have the money and wouldn't refund our deposits. Something is really WRONG with having to give deposits to people who are recommended by a company, have no ability to complete the job, and then have the company tell you "It's not our fault". Well, we lost $4500, and Westchester Modular did nothing to help us get our money back. RUN from this company, do not get ripped off like we did.

My first husband and I purchased the home on 16 sycamore Blvd right at the top of the hill in that development..we were very happy with how easy and how professional everyone was. It was so much fun picking the colors of our house, shingles, carpets, and even windows that open in so you can clean them from the inside.its been over 20 years.. and the house is still in great shape..I don't know why anyone would have problems with Westchester modular homes...

Buyer beware!! I bought a Westchester Modular Home in 2022. It has been a nightmare and money pit. The house was delivered with defects and damage throughout. The issues have accumulated to nearly 100 defective items/issues to-date, most of which are attributed to Westchester's construction of the home, and the issues are now so bad that my children and I are currently not living in the house. In fact, there is a notice posted by a company right now on every entry door to my house that says "warning, do not enter." My house from Westchester was delivered with kitchen cabinets splitting apart, nearly a dozen walls falling off the frame, holes/gouges in doors, trim, and walls, nail and screw pops in the hundreds (and still occurring), insufficient and missing insulation, electrical wiring and light problems. Last year I had to have all my lights replaced (over 60 of them) because they were malfunctioning (flashing on and off without power), The warranty person from Westchester took the old lights and told me he was going to install them in another house! I have a list of nearly 100 defective issues concerning my house and new items are still being added. This week I discovered that Westchester never finished installing the roof trusses in my attic plus one of the trusses is broken! I have failed inspection, moved my children and myself out of the house and I'm in danger of losing my homeowners insurance. Westchester has not talked to me in almost a year, has not provided me any reimbursement for the tens of thousands of dollars that I have spent fixing construction defects/issues. I'm writing this as a warning to anyone considering buying a Westchester Modular Home. I would never buy one again!!
