Originally the guy was great. Came to do the work quickly (fixing a botched bathroom tile floor). Everything was fine except one tile cracked when he put the toilet back. Noticed it after he left. Trying to get him back was a frustrating effort. Once we connected. Told me to find someone else. Wouldn't accept payment. Gets his feelings hurt easily so choose your words carefully or he'll bail on you.

I contacted Hodges Home Renovations to replace siding on the second story of my home. It wasn't a huge job, which meant that other companies I called were not interested in the work. Tony was great from estimate through completion of the work. He was honest about costs and timeframe. He not only replaced siding, but also addressed some quirks and eyesores present in our almost 100 year old house. I also really appreciated how respectful Mr. Bob and he were while working at our home (no smoking, bad language, etc). They really did a wonderful job and I would hire them again.

I hired Hodge based on a family member's recommendation. I gave them 2 stars because the floor replacement was done well. Nothing else was and the job was never finished. The property was unoccupied so there was lots of opportunity to get the job done. I was assured the job would be completed the weekend I was on the road up to Buffalo. Shame on me for mailing the payment the day we left. We arrived to an unfinished job. One ceiling looked like a child had painted it and the other wasn't painted at all! There were excuses and promises to complete the job but no one showed up. Tony seems like a nice enough guy, but crosses the line between owner and hired contractor.... read full review
