“My daughter broke her glasses on a Saturday. After failing to fix them, I searched for emergency repairs and Frank's shop came up. We called after 7pm & he answered (at dinner with his family!) & set up an appointment the next day, as in he opened the shop for us on a Sunday! I would like to add I did not originally go to him (although I wish I had).

He was early to the appointment! He was so kind & helpful. He tried well over a dozen different frames to try to find the right ones that fit my daughters lenses. The ones he found were perfect and very close in color to the ones she had (she's 6, so that was really awesome to her). The glasses are warrantied for 2 years.

He made her feel comfortable & he is very very genuine. He taught us both some things about eyeglasses & eyes! He's been doing this for 40 years. We can't wait to come back! You have a customer for life, Frank! Thank you so much for being you, we appreciate you.“

“I have Keratoconus, have for 10 plus years and knew I wasn't necessarily a candidate for Lasik. I decided to attend a sight night back in March and ask about other options. Dr. Atwal addressed my concerns and set me up with Dr. Gibbons to map my cornea. After confirmation that I did have Keratoconus, I was sent to see Dr. Joseph about maybe getting the Scleral contact lenses. I can't thank her enough for talking me off the ledge and encouraging me for a solid 30 minutes as I attempted to insert the try-on lenses. Six months later, I don't think it's overstating it to say that this has changed my life, I did not realize how poor my vision was. I went from a 20/400 in my right eye to 20/20. So even if you can't do lasik, don't hesitate to reach out to Atwal“

“I first went to Battin Optical as a 5 yr. old when grandfather Battin had a location in Lackawanna next to the Towne theater. Got new glasses every year there until I moved from the area in my 20's. Having moved back to the South towns, I was happy to see a location in Hamburg and did not hesitate to revisit. Dr. Joe is so friendly. His staff is awesome. Kelsey, an optician is the best. Knowledgeable and friendly. She had so much patience with me. It only took me a month of indecisiveness to choose frames after checking out both the Hamburg and Buffalo locations! Not for lack of selection either. Kelsey knew what I wanted and remained on the lookout for frames she thought I might like, putting them aside or bringing them to the other store. I can't tell you how much personal attention I received from her and her enthusiastic sweet coworker, Jenna. Together, they found my pretty, and fun Krewe frames. Riley at the desk let me wander through the store to try on glasses. Sue fitted me. All were helpful, including Michelle on the business side. Battin Optical is a three generation family business with lovely showrooms and quality fashionable eyewear. They are professional and experienced. I cannot thank them enough for helping me.“
