Dr Sean Hillock in internal medicine is an absolutely horrendous human being and vet. This man should not be allowed near any animal or person and should certainly not be practicing veterinary medicine. His complete wrongful diagnosis of our beloved amazing dog together with his lack not communication and interest absolutely led to our dog's demise. Dr. Hillock is unprofessional and negligent. To make matters worse he is a defensive jerk with a total attitude who places blame on the grieving pet owner. Awful person. Shame on him. Dr. Moirano in Radiation Oncology and his staff are amazing wonderful vets and people. Any animal is lucky to be in their care. Note that it is extremely difficult to get through by phone to the hospital. A 30 minute hold time is the norm.
I have used VMCLI on multiple occasions. My dog Merri has problems with his neck and neurological. They have been nothing be great with my animals and helping us get them back on track. My other dog Pippin had eye problems and their specialist there was also great. I would take my dogs there for anything that need special attention.
Went in for an "emergency" visit with my bunny around 12am due to his lack of appetite in the evening. Before even going I administered Simethicone to ensure it was not just gas. There was no visual improvement after two doses. Got to VMCLI and they said your rabbit has GI stasis. Which he has previously had and previously had gas. They wanted in patient care with a cost up to $2,500+. For outpatient wanted to just give me cisapride and other treatments. Cisapride they couldn't get until the morning anyway because they do not keep it in house. I ended up going home with just a consultation, some Critical care and some Metacam. When I got home I administered one dose of Propulsid that I have in an emergency kit for him that I have and the metacam they provided. Never even needed the critical care. Would love to return it. He was eating and going to the bathroom as soon as I got home. Appears to be a misdiagnosis by VMCLI. Likely was Gas not stasis. This visit cost me $301.00 for essentially nothing on their part. $301.00 seems quite excessive even for a "exotic emergency visit" (Cost includes Meds)I will self diagnose based on my experience and rabbit knowledge from this point forward. Unbelievable. Someone really dropped the ball there.
