Instructors are very patient, keep students engaged, and show real knowledge and passion for their teachings. They go above and beyond with lessons and for the community, doing fundraisers for students and participating in local events. Students develop a lasting passion, continuing their practice long after classes end. Parents wholeheartedly recommend the school, noting it is well worth it and that other schools are nowhere as good. It is a place where children and adults grow, learn realistic self-defense, and develop the confidence needed for a happier, healthier life.
My oldest was a student of Sensai John’s for awhile until we moved to a new state. The teachings at the dojo go far beyond just learning the art! The positive behavior changes in my child were amazing and watching his passion grow with each class was worth it all. We had our children in Sensei John's classes a few years ago when we lived in town and he was amazing. We have put our kids in other martial arts schools since we've left, and they are nowhere as good as Sensei John's. He taught my wife self defense techniques as well and that was very appreciated and he also performed at our local church's talent show with our boys and it went over very well. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his school. You won't regret it.
Sensei John has been teaching my oldest for the last 6 years and I would recommend him to anyone who is thinking about having their child/children take karate. He is very very patient with all the kids and can keep them engaged. He does so much for the community as well. My littlest now goes to him and has been for a year. Its amazing to see them grow and learn to love karate. Jennifer who also helps Sensei John is a fantastic woman. She's also very patient with the kids. They all adore her.
