Chris has delivered firewood for the past couple of years. In the past his wood was great seasoned hardwood and his price was reasonable at $200 per chord. Last month he delivers a chord of split hardwood and charges me $250. Says that he'll give me a large chord of great hardwood. I asked him if it was seasoned for at least a year and he says yes. I needed it bad so I bucked up. The wood looked great, I paid him and he left - not a large chord BTW like he said. The wood barely burns because it is so wet. It sizzles and pops (explodes is more like it). I asked him to replace 1/2 chord in my driveway because I didn't want to lug the already stacked wood there.... read full review
I've used this company for about a year and a half for my rental property and just fired them today. They are very unreliable, dishonest and unprofessional in how they handled my questioning of their service. I've gotten complaints from my tenants that they are snowed in and then You Grow guys haven't showed up. You Grow insisted they plowed when they didn't. They didn't shovel the walkway as they had agreed to do. They said there was 24" of snow in early feb. We got half that, but we're charged for more snow than we had.
