“I haven't had a professional haircut in over 20 years. A few months back Jahaira (Yaya) consulted with me, and made me feel very comfortable with my ideas and my options. I have a bald/thin spot on my crown, I've learned to accept it but I didnt want to glorify it either. 7 months after my single consultation, Yaya not only remembered me but almost everything we had spoken about and basically knew what I wanted. “So let me start off by saying this is not your grandpa and dad's barbershop. These gentlemen have set the bar very high as far as maintaining clientele and keeping the barbershop a fun and healthy atmosphere. Christian prides himself on that along with his ability to assemble an arsenal of great barbers,and I believe that's why Pure Skillz is thriving the way it is. Steven has been mine and my mom's barber for the past four years, and we originally followed him from another shop because he's that good. Being women, it's harder to find a barber that will give you the cut you want without sending you out the door looking like a 12 year old boy. Also, the location of this barbershop couldn't be better, right in the Village of Montgomery, where there seemed to lack a barbershop for ethnic hair and for younger folks and both niches were filled with the placement of this shop.<br><br>I could say more, but I've added pictures!<br><br>1000/10 cause 5 stars isn't enough.<br><br>-Dani“

“I was hesitant to have my son get into a barber chair too soon - but he is 4 and it was time … this place is immaculate. Super clean and you dont feel like you’re gonna catch something from dirty clippers hahaha. Aaron is legit the best, I am so mad I lived here the last 3 years and did not know this shop existed here. His cuts are comparable (Id even say BETTER) than a city barber shop. He definitely knows what he is doing. My son got a tape up with scissor cut on top and its an understatement to say that Aaron nailed it. No lines, blended correctly, scissor cut on top blended correctly into the tape up… just perfect. I wish he was cutting my sons hair sooner.More people should know about this place- I highly recommend it. Especially the people like myself that travel back to the city or further for good cuts- I 100% promise you wont regret going here, this place is legit. I’m super picky on who touches my hair so my kids get that same treatment. Northern Wolf is 10xs cleaner than a city shop but gives a city cut- something a female waiting for her son to get shaped up can appreciate hahaha. Thank you Aaron!!!! You’re the best.“

“Just was checking to see what time the shop opened. When I saw the information and reviews couldn’t believe there was any bad said about the barbershop. Have been going to them for years. All are very professional and always had a great experience. People have their favorites as I used too but now I sit in whoever’s chair is up and have always had a great haircut. Years ago I was taken to a barber as a kid and he put a bowl on my head and cut it that way. He’d throw water on it even in the winter time which he would then wrap a towel on my head so it wouldn’t freeeze. I still have some crazy memories about that barber who was named “Alex the butcher” but he was a nice guy that you just could not dislike. So if something happens when oops, a few extra hairs were cut you didn’t want, take off the skirts people it’s not a big deal. Me, I never ever gotten a bad haircut from this barbershop and this is the only place I go to.<br><br>Salute to Vincenzo I miss his smile. If you never met him you can even see him in “Scent of a woman” with Al Pacino. He was the barber in the movie that actually shaved Al Pacino. Rumor has it they hired an extra to play the barber but he kept dropping the soap“
