In April 2022,I hired Mid-Hudson Floor and Wall of Wappingers Falls, New York to remodel a small bathroom in my home. While I am pleased with the beautiful bathroom that eventually resulted, I am most displeased about my experience with the company. I would not hire them again, nor recommend them to anyone else, and here is why. Near the end of the project, there were two leaks over a one to two week period. The culprit turned out to be a test pipe that was used, of which the apparent purpose was to make sure everything was working properly, but was not to be left in place for any appreciable length of time. When I pointed out to Lori the owner the time lost from my job because of this fiasco, including the resulting water and property damage, and subsequent more than 30 hours spent cleaning the affected closet beneath the bathroom, she said to send her a bill, which I promptly did May 16. if I could, I would provide the pictures I have here. I also wish I could provide an audio of the June 07 message she left on my telephone answering machine, saying the company was starting “a big job” the following week and that a check would be mailed to me two weeks after that, e.g., so by approximately the end of June. Since then, my four telephone call attempts to reach Lori have been unsuccessful. (She is either “away”, or “has just run out to a job site”, etc.) I now realize I likely have no legal recourse, as I was never provided a paper contract, and was given no receipts for the two cash payments I made, despite being told by her each time that I would get one. In retrospect, the overall impression I have of Mid-Hudson Floor and Wall is in-businesslike and unprofessional (no paper contract or receipts) and dishonest and even unethical (the unfulfilled promise of compensation for blunders the company made in the course of the project).

We have been using Mid Hudson floor and Wall for the last 28 years and have had excellent work by all the crews that have ever worked on our home. The sales staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The latest project was Mirage hardwood floors in our family room and living room. As usual they did a great job. I would rate them 5 stars.
