Rolando and family are so kind ! They always have a smile on their face and are always so pleasant and helpful ! This is my third visit to the store and I always leave a very satisfied customer! Today I needed a small repair on my shoe. Rolando stopped what he was doing and addressed the issue immediately . It was unnecessary, but so thoughtful and he refused to accept payment for services!! La Escensia is excellent at their craft and always professional! I only use their services!! They also repair many other items besides footwear which is wonderful !!

I came to La Esencia a few weeks ago with a conundrum- I needed a very specific type of leather paint for an emergency work project, and I didn’t have time to wait for something to be shipped to me. None of the local art stores or cobblers had it in stock or were willing to sell it to me, and the very last place I called was La Esencia because it was either that, or drive all the way to Manhattan.Rolando was very understanding of my situation, and invited me to come to the shop so I could check his personal stock of leather paint.
