The dr helped us make the right choice and was so gentle with our boy as we said goodbye. We are so glad we honored him and his goodbye in such a comfortable and loving way at home. 10/10 recommend if you need a personal goodbye and to take your time getting closure. “Absolutely the best.Let me start by saying that I’m a crazy person who treats my dog like a human baby. I love her more than anything in the world. She also has terrible teeth, common to her micro-breed. (Little dogs = little teeth = tiniest bit of decay can destroy a tooth in a blink.)Dr. Surgeon and his assistant Maria are AMAZING. The office is small and intimate and so welcoming and warm. The technology they use is state of the art and the doctor even showed me how the various imagining machines worked, and he explained in detail what he saw and what he did. He was so kind and thorough and honestly— I didn’t think they made doctors like this anymore. He’s like someone from a totally different era; so wise and decent. He told me “I still do this because I love the animals” and that’s clearly true.Maria was also so warm and loving to my little dog and I could tell my pup felt truly comfortable and at ease with her. I was so nervous about having my dog’s teeth dealt with but Dr. Surgeon and Maria honestly could not have done more to put my mind completely at ease.DO NOT HESITATE to bring your dog here. And please note, anyone who has left a bad review (go ahead and read them) is complaining solely about money. Well; no, it’s not cheap to have your animal go under anesthesia and have complicated surgical procedures performed. That’s why there’s pet insurance. I’m sorry if it’s going to cost you a lot, but that’s not a reason to blast a truly gifted and deeply caring doctor. No one can possibly have anything bad to say about how their animal was treated here, because it’s impossible to imagine Maria and Dr. Surgeon reacting to any creature with anything less than total professionalism and love. So glad I found them and so happy to be able to return for cleanings in the future.“

“I have brought my rabbit here. There are a lot of pros to Dakota for a rabbit owner. Dr. Stanzione is one of the most experienced rabbit vets in Westchester, and Emily, one of the vet techs, probably knows and cares more about rabbits than 99.99% of vet techs on the planet. I find that the staff is always kind and professional. As someone who has brought my rabbit to several rabbit-savvy vet practices in the area, I find that Dr. Stanzione and Emily are more willing to think outside of the box on creative solutions for your pet, and they also charge a little less (not to say animal care is inexpensive, but I've done some price comparisons of the same services at other practices). The biggest con here is that Dr. Stanzione only works Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and he also sometimes takes weeks off. If he is working, the practice will work hard to squeeze you in if you have an emergency, and I appreciate that, but if he simply isn't working, you could wait many days for a rabbit appointment. For this reason, I've had to sometimes turn to other veterinary practices for my rabbit in emergencies. But whenever possible, bringing my rabbit to Dakota is my first choice.“

“What an amazing Veterinary Practice! We brought our new puppy to see Dr. Maida last week for a puppy exam and to discuss vaccines and her general health. He did a thorough exam on her and told us we can bring her back this week for her booster vaccine and a checkup. She had her booster vaccine today and while we were checking out she threw up. Dr. Maida and his staff jumped into immediate action assessing little girl and confirming she was having an anaphylaxis reaction due to the vaccine. They immediately treated her with steroids and fluids and monitored her until she was stable and ready to go home. They continued to check on her and us and answered every question we had with compassion, kindness and understanding. We were both extremely nervous as we had never seen this happen and she is a tiny 2lb 12 week old puppy.Emergency aside, Dr. Maida is an extremely knowledgeable and patient vet who answered every single one of our questions about our new pup and helped us make appropriate decisions regarding her care. The office and exam rooms are clean and all of the staff are kind and welcoming.
