“I knew I’d want to get a haircut in Tarrytown ahead of a special event I was in town for. I looked at my options in advance and chose this one. I looked forward to talking with a guy who would probably have a beard or mustache of his own (and maybe a tattoo or two, too) and we could discuss my event and ask for style guidance. Even if it was a woman with no beard and no tattoos, the vibe felt right from what I looked at here on Google.<br><br>When I got there, I was seated right away by a very attentive but seemingly new barber. He was generally guided by another man, perhaps Sebastian, who asked me a few questions, then stepped out for a cigarette.<br><br>4 stars, because my barber did try to ask if it was a nice day out as I was leaving, but otherwise I didn’t get any chit chat or anything. He did a good job for what I was able to ask him for, but he was not able to have a frank and personal conversation about my grooming choices for a special event with lots of pictures, you know? And what I wanted, the reason I picked this place, was because I wanted to have that conversation.“

My barber, Jose, listen to exactly how I wanted my hair cut and followed my instructions perfectly even asking how I liked it and what adjustments to make if any. He trimmed my brows and mustache also which I thought was a nice touch. I am new to the area and Jose came recommended by friends as someone who pays attention to details and good customer service.
