“I knew I’d want to get a haircut in Tarrytown ahead of a special event I was in town for. I looked at my options in advance and chose this one. I looked forward to talking with a guy who would probably have a beard or mustache of his own (and maybe a tattoo or two, too) and we could discuss my event and ask for style guidance. Even if it was a woman with no beard and no tattoos, the vibe felt right from what I looked at here on Google.

When I got there, I was seated right away by a very attentive but seemingly new barber. He was generally guided by another man, perhaps Sebastian, who asked me a few questions, then stepped out for a cigarette.

4 stars, because my barber did try to ask if it was a nice day out as I was leaving, but otherwise I didn’t get any chit chat or anything. He did a good job for what I was able to ask him for, but he was not able to have a frank and personal conversation about my grooming choices for a special event with lots of pictures, you know? And what I wanted, the reason I picked this place, was because I wanted to have that conversation.“

“Went to Erstyl for a head shave with Lulu and it was a thoroughly pleasant experience. The shop is beautiful, parking is easy and the staff is super accommodating. Lulu's shave was great and reasonably priced. A great find in Scarsdale“

“I never leave reviews (this is my 1st) but I must say this is my new go-to barber.

My hair is unusually thick, like wire, and I’ve been to countless barbershops and some “high end” salons where I still leave looking like I was attacked by a cat.

Gary effortlessly gave me a skin fade matching the reference image I showed before he started. And it was spot on!

It’s such a rarity I find someone who’s able to manage my hair and give me a cut I love. Go here and you’ll leave feeling confident and looking good.
