I did a drop in at NY United BJJ while visiting the area during the holidays. For context I’m an early-40s blue belt living in the south.Everything about the gym had great vibes. As a father of a high school wrestler, I finally found a great wrestling school for my son. What makes this place special and different is Khyl the instructor and owner of NY United BJJ.I took my son to the top wrestling schools in New Jersey. I initially drafted this review over five years ago.The program was just gaining momentum. At the time, I had one son in high school, with aspirations to continue on the college level. Khyl took that boy under his wing and helped to develop his skills (on an off the mat). As a mother, there are times you need to trust someone to provide some tough LOVE. And yes, I mean love.He loves his craft and his students! That is why it pained me to see a review here which unfairly and inappropriately remains on this site.... read full review
