Very pleasant experience. After having a tension headache for 3 days the relief I felt after my session was amazing. I was whole new person. I really like how private it is. I was unsure at first but I am really happy with my decision. Next appointment is already booked!
It's pretty simple: I crawl in tense and in pain; I float out forgetting I had any problems. I think God has given Kathy an extraordinary gift of healing. I have four herniated discs that cause me disabling pain by the end of the day. Over the past 30 years, I have tried combinations of motrin, steroids, chiropractors, physical therapists, acupuncturists, and other massage therapists. But Kathy has given me so much relief that I only use her and yoga now. Over the last five years she has become an expert at treating my particular problem. She asks all the right questions before planning her attack. I seldom have to direct her to the problem areas: she probes and goes right to the trigger points. She knows exactly how to creep up and then go deep to get to the knot. When appropriate she uses "cupping" to stimulate blood flow to pull all the toxins out (I might be misquoting her explanation). All the while we talk about what is stressing me or she holds me accountable as to how much water I'm drinking and if am I taking the vitamins she recommended .... or if I prefer: "no talking" in which case I get immersed in the music and serene ambiance allowing me to "leave the planet" and wake up feeling pain free and renewed. She loves her profession and recognizes it is an art as well as a science. Even my doctor was impressed by the detailed, factual, and specific treatment plan she tailored just for me. Our sessions are not rushed. She even takes time after the session to teach me a new stretch or review proper posture to get to the root cause.
I went to balance for life for a reiki healing it was my first time I was a little skeptical at first because I didn't know what to expect but I have to say it was life changing and kathy was amazing and a sweet hart of a person.
