“Unbelievable service, we're talking personable, professional, goes the extra mile- if there's a challenge these guys will meet it! Family run and we've been using them for our propane delivery since moving to the area. Now they have installed the new stove and met the challenge when the big box store sent the wrong converter stuff. Use local, Use reliable.“

“Strongly recommend working with this company for everything plumbing, heating & cooling! Called Empire State Plumbing to replace my 1987 water heaters. They sent a tech within a few days to assess the job and he drew up an estimate within 15 minutes while on-site. Once I approved, they had a crew out 2-days later to remove the old heaters, remove all old plumbing, and install the new heater. Beyond just doing a wonderful job installing, they also made smart decisions like using clear pipe for the u-bend in my condensation line so I can tell if there is ever a clog. All to say: job was done fast, well, and with great respect for our home. Also, the same tech who estimated the job was the lead installer on the job; such a great idea and made for a wonderful experience. If you can get Justin on your job, you won't be disappointed.“

Kool Temp Heating & Cooling Water Heater Installation Repair

“We have been customers since 2019 & this is the first year we have had problems. They installed a new furnace for us 3 years ago with the only problem being the access opening to replace the furnace filter. Most filters for our model come as 20" or 24". Their access is very tight and is 22"... hence the 20" is too small & the 24" sticks out 2" & each must be taped in place to close the opening... a pain, but do-able. Their technicians have always been pleasant & on time, & got the job done "mostly" right with the first visit. We purchased the Silver Contract for each year, which promised service within 48 hours of a call. This is true (& often a lot faster than 48 hours) BUT that doesn't say it will be FIXED after they visit. THIS year is really the first time, since purchasing the Silver Contracts, that we have actually had to take advantage of it (besides the free annual cleaning), & it has been a mess. First, Anthony was sent out... a congenial, chatty, elderly gentleman who seemed a little "lost" at times. The problem: Our furnace's blower comes on repeatedly, both during & after the heating cycle, every few minutes, around the clock. Anthony thought it was a problem thermostat & replaced it with a new one. He left, but was sent back after we called Amber (God bless this sweet lady's customer service skills!) & told her the problem continued. Anthony returned & removed the new thermostat ; Replaced our old one. He talked with someone at Kool-Temp who told him it was most likely the "Air Flow Switch". Anthony replaced that. The problem continued. NEXT Bryan was sent out. We told him that, not only did we have the blower issues, but we had started hearing "back-fires" when the furnace heating cycle turned off. We asked if it could be related to our newly filled tank of kerosene (he said "No") but cleaned the nozzle. He left, only for us to now have no heat at all. Bryan returned & hit a reset switch & (like Anthony) said we must have a blocked air-flow from one of our floor vents... we don't, yet he (& Anthony) went thru the house checking. I went so far as to pull EVERY floor vent in our home, vacuumed them & into the duct work as far as I could reach... I found no blockages at all & the hot air poured through those vents. The problem continues. NOW we are told that the "Air Flow Switch" they replaced was probably defective & would have to order a new one. That was A WEEK AGO & still no follow up. A call to the office revealed they were still waiting for the part to be sent to them & it would arrive by Friday (today). It is now, 3:15 p.m. on Friday & no one has called...A quick internet search of our situation stated:"You most likely have a "bad Fan Limit Switch". Your furnace Fan Limit Switch is basically a control system that determines when the furnace blower assembly should turn on and off.""When the furnace fan keeps running, there are a couple of typical culprits. It could be a simple fix—either your thermostat needs new batteries, it's set to ON instead of AUTO, or the furnace Fan Limit Switch is set to manual. These issues are easy to fix and don't require expert help.""Locate your fan limit switch and check to see if the white knob is pressed in. If so, your switch is set to manual override, or “always running” .CAN SOMEONE from Kool Temp actually check this for us? When Anthony was here he told us "a green wire" inside the furnace control box was not attached to anything but it didn't matter because the "Fan setting on our thermostat" wasn't connected since we don't have AC" But could this problem be as simple as this???Until this year, Kool-Temp has been great; though this is the first time we ever needed them for a repair (despite having annual contracts since 2019) so we have nothing to compare this occurrence, with previous ones.“
