“"London Bridge is falling down" are the opening words to a popular nursery rhyme. Like London Bridge, our windows were falling down, failing to stay in place when opened. The windows dropped quickly, frightening our cats, Ginger and Spice, who often slept on the window sills, at great peril. As they leaped to safety, their hearts skipped a beat, as did ours. My wife and I contracted with Renewal by Andersen to replace 12 windows, and on the scheduled day, Amir and his team arrived promptly and began removing the defective windows and installing new ones, with Energy Star ratings. Amir and his co-workers covered furniture with plastic to insure it kept free of dust, minimized the creation of debris, carted away all old windows and frames and completed their work in two days. The team acted professionally, and even avoided playing music, so I could operate my home-based business, without disruption. At the end of their work, Amir showed me how to tilt the upper and lower windows for easy cleaning, and provided me with information on potential tax savings available with our new energy-efficient windows. Now, neither our new Renewal by Andersen windows, nor London Bridge, are falling down.
