“I recently had an urgent plumbing issue, and Tim from TJP Plumbing was the only plumber in the area to respond to my emergency service request. He arrived first thing the next morning and quickly diagnosed the problem. While we initially thought it was a leaky pipe in the wall, Tim discovered it was actually a clogged waste line. His thorough investigation also revealed that our cesspools were full and needed pumping. Thanks to Tim's prompt and professional service, the issue was resolved efficiently. Highly recommend TJP Plumbing for any plumbing needs!“
“I moved out to the North Fork in the 90's and THANK GOD FOR HOMMEL! A local plumber told us about them and they're still one of the best kept secrets on the North Fork, even though they've been here since the 1930's. All the plumbers and contractors out here use them for their plumbing and heating supplies, but not everyone knows they sell directly to the public, too. They have like 9,000 items in that little store (they own the building behind it too and both are filled with plumbing and heating supplies). I think they have more items than Home Depot and their people are really, really helpful. Any time I have had a toilet that won't stop running or a leaky faucet or pipe or my heating system breaks down, Hommel always had the parts in stock including all the little nuts and rubber seals and fittings I needed. They also have bathroom fixtures, toilets, tubs, sinks, etc. They're all listed on their website. The people behind the counter are super helpful and they really know their stuff. They seem to have all worked as plumbers and heating professionals. They always come back with the parts needed to make the repair and they explain exactly how to make the repairs and gave me the confidence to do it. During COVID, Frank even walked me and my son through troubleshooting and fixing our boiler that wouldn't start. We replaced a filter and a nozzle ourselves! They also know all the good plumbers and contractors out here and have referred us to good ones for the bigger jobs. They're a life saver!Services: Repair water fixtures“
“WOW! So the water pump at our summer house had an issue about a month ago, and the tech who came out showed us a super easy fix for it- he said if it issue kept happening we'd prob need to replace the pump, and we do need to cause it happened again Friday night but Saturday morning- on a weekend, outside of business hours-?their emergency dispatcher was able to put me in touch with Vinny almost immediately, and he walked me through the 'quick fix' steps over the phone (let me send photos of the pump and exactly what I was looking at, and even went out to his truck to find an exact match of the piece I needed to wiggle to get it to turn back on!). We still need to replace the pump, which was inevitable, but The fact that Vinny was able and willing to help us out with the "quick fix" so that we have water over the weekend until their regular business hours resumed was AMAZING! Vinny couldn't have been nicer, clearer, or more patient, and I could tell he wasn't a "weekend emergency" tech, but a regularly scheduled weekday employee who is kind enough to take 15 minutes out of his Saturday off to help me out. As a single woman who knows jack about HVAC, plumbing, or cars, I almost always worry that I'm being overcharged or being told that I need things done that are actually necessary, and I cannot describe what an AWESOME relief it is when working with people who are honest, kind, and genuinely helpful. Initially I had called Okey because their sticker was on the pump from when it was installed by the previous owners, but now I am legit a loyal customer for life. Thank you Okey, and THANK YOU VINNY!“

“My home is just over 20 years old and in the past year has had some plumbing issues that required some immediate and not so immediate attention. Each time I reached out to Peconic Plumbing and Heating they diligently returned my call and made the necessary repairs. I find them to be fair, timely and professional. They have extended their workday for some emergent situations and I am extremely appreciative of their attention to detail. I highly recommend their services.“

“Amazing! Renee is a complete rock star! Long story short...we had issues with another company that had installed our hvac system. Renee came in, immediately saw the problem & quoted us a fair price. Clean, professional, do their job, don't linger, don't make excuses. What more can I say? We are so grateful to Action Air, who pick up the phone, come when they say & do the job correctly and on time (and budget). Is that too much to ask! Will def. recommend them for sure.“
“Our heat went out at 5pm. Originally called another company - they said that I needed a new boiler and left me without heat. I called Burts and they arrived 30 mins later. Fixed the problem with the controller within 25 mins. Thank you so much for saving us Jeff!!!!!“

“Grant first installed our A/C system after a major house renovation 16 years ago. They came several times over those years to make various repairs and they kept it running. It finally came time to replace the system, and Grant just installed a new one with comparable power, but greater energy efficiency. It has great cooling capacity, in even the hottest and most humid weather, and runs much more quietly. The installers also re-sealed much of the ductwork in the basement, so it runs more efficiently. The outdoor condenser is on two pads, which not only reduces vibration noise inside the house, but protects the unit in heavy snow and rain. A consistently excellent company, in our opinion.Services: Thermostat installation“
