Rosendale has its own charm to it. Small town where time may have forgotten but people don't care. The town is pleasant. People help one another. The town historian is the barber. He can tell you the history and give you a great haircut. But, like the people in this town, just a real nice guy. The traffic through the town will remind you you are not in the middle of nowhere, but the charm is there, nonetheless. But why don't you stop for a great haircut and let Bill tell you all about it. Just make sure to call for an appointment first.
Bill can do any kind of haircut. He gave my son his first Mohawk many years ago. Professional, personable, skilled. His shop is like a step back in time, a traditional, small-town barber shop.
I am writing this review in the summer of the Coronavirus pandemic. Bill is open again, and following Health Department guidelines by having customers call ahead so there's only one at a time in the shop, and so he has time to sanitize between them. He's had himself tested as well, just to reassure people. Bill is a great barber, and Bill's is a great place. He's been in business in the same spot for fifty-one years now, and it shows. His shop is full of memorabilia, and, as Town Historian, he'll be happy to accept your charitable payment to the historical society in return for a genuine Rosendale Cement bag or other historical paraphernalia. He also gives a good haircut, which is a plus. Note that he's not a "stylist" and you will not leave his shop looking like a news anchor or a politician, just like a guy with a good haircut. I highly recommend Bill's Barbershop.
