About Rochester Regional Health
Rochester Regional Health is a healthcare provider that has received mixed reviews. While the NICU nurses are praised as "absolutely the most amazing humans" who provide exceptional care and support to patients and their families, the overall experience seems to have declined since the COVID-19 pandemic. Patients report long wait times on the phone, a lack of available nurses, and the departure of their primary care providers. However, the Geneseo location is highly regarded for its top-notch facilities and services, though there is a need for a gastroenterologist in the area. Despite the challenges, Rochester Regional Health continues to serve the community with dedicated healthcare professionals.
This is only a specific area I’m talking about as I don’t have any info with other locations in the hospital. The NICU Nurses are absolutely the most amazing humans and RRH needs to recognize them ALL over the place. Every. Single. One. Of. Them. My daughter had aunties and uncles for appx 20 days of her life and I had not just a nurse, but someone who CARED. Cared about my daughter, cared about ME and my family. These nurses are SO educated and just perfect humans! I love all of them! So please, make a special post shout out to them. Pictures of their sweet faces if they want to!! Also s/o to L&D trauma and Post op. Yall found me every time I left the room HAHA! (For the NICU) AWESOME JOB YALL!!! Thank you.
RRH has gone downhill fast since COVID. I'm currently on hold for my child's nurse. I have been on hold for 15 minutes just waiting for someone to answer the phone. I called earlier in the week and was advised the ONE nurse for the CLINIC had the day off. My PCP recently left RRH. Seems like a lot of people are jumping this sinking ship. I have written all this and still on hold. Next call will be to URMC to switch his care. We already switched the rest of the family to URMC physicians. Update: 30 minutes on hold, still no answer. Repeat recordings and music are really annoying.
I love our RRH building in Geneseo, but we are in desperate need of a gastroenterologist at the geneseo location! No GI Doctor in Livingston county! Geneseo building and services are top notch!
