“I recently purchased a home in Kingston and contracted Pro Services for two major projects - decommission and replace a natural gas furnace and water heater with a fully electric heat pump system.We were very pleased with the level of service we received from Andrew and the crew. He walked us through our options, articulated the tradeoffs of various systems and right sized the equipment to meet the needs of our nearly 100 year old home.We were especially pleased with the level of customer service during the installation process - they were responsive to email, accommodated our schedules, and the techs were friendly and professional. In one particular case, one of their techs took time out of their schedule late on a Friday afternoon to commission our system and answer any questions we had.Our home has many challenges for any HVAC system to overcome but so far the heat pump have been performing very better than we expected. The home has stayed cool well into the upper 90s and has been comfortably warm now that the temperature has dipped. In reality, I can just set the thermostat to 70 and not even have to think about it.Very pleased with the outcome and look forward to working with them again.“

“My wife and I looked for a contractor to replace four windows, the wood siding and add insulation to the second floor of the front of our house. We wanted a quality job, we didn’t look for the cheapest contractor. The house is about 130 years old and nothing is level, plumb or square. Brian came to do the estimate. He listened to our concerns and gave us suggestions which we agreed to.Jason came before the work started to make sure all of the supplies were delivered. The windows were delayed so the project started a couple of weeks later than expected. Once the job started we were impressed by the workmanship, attention to major and minor details.The project took a couple of days longer than they estimated. I think this happened because of the age of our house and that everythings took longer to do than they expected. I worried that if this happened to another contractor they would cut corners to keep on schedule but they didn’t cut any corners. They cleaned everything up at the end of each day.We were taking a month-long trip and left before the job was completed. One of the many nice touches was that Jason sent us photos so we could see the completed project.We have two more sides of our house that we want the windows and siding replaced and ZIP System R-sheathing installed. We will be getting another estimate from Brian for these jobs.We highly recommend Brian Hommel based on our experience with them.“

“We bought a house whose main staircase was open on one side and needed a banister installed. It was a pretty weird setup, with a crawlspace between the floors to get around and a partial banister at the top. The owner, Gene, came by and took measurements, said no sweat about the eccentric curve that'd be needed for the rail at the top to get around the crawlspace, and gave us what felt like a fair estimate. He told me it'd be about five weeks before the woodwork was finished, and right around that time after the deposit was paid, it was ready for installation. The crew did the job and cleaned up well. We're thrilled with how the banister looks and works.As others have suggested, it can take a little effort to get on their roster. But they're busy because they're good and because there aren't a lot of places around that specialize in what they do. I had to be a little persistent to get the initial visit, and it was worth the trouble.“
