The studio hosts Salsa socials near nearby bars, providing a fun and social atmosphere where students can practice their new skills. The vibe is warm and friendly, and students feel comfortable and encouraged to enjoy dancing to Latin music. Overall, Salsa In Queens is highly recommended for both experienced and novice Salsa dancers, offering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere to learn and enjoy this vibrant dance form.
Went to an open house for a salsa and bachata class. There were about ten of us in our group. We had a blast. The muaic was great! We learned NY style salsa. The space is not huge but it was ample enough for us and the other dancers. The instructors were friiendly and engaging. They walked around and helped students. I live in Brooklyn, otherwise I would definitely take advantage of the dance lessons here.
I’ve been going here for a few months and started at beginner two with Omar and now I’m currently in the advanced beginner with Omar. I have learned so much from him. He is one of the best teachers and the Monday advanced beginner class is so fun. I couldn’t have gotten to the level I am at right now without Omar’s help.
Marcus is also a great teacher. He’s super kind and funny and I had a great time with him for beginner two. I also did a private with him, and he showed me a lot of things I needed to improve on while also still making me feel good about the skills I already had.
Overall really recommend SIQ. Great atmosphere
Everyone's so nice and accommodating, instructors love what they do, and you feel welcome there. The instructors make it so easy to follow along, I love it here. My happy place!
