Ryan, the stylist and owner, was professional and he carefully reviewed my request for the cut. He not only took his time, but gave me some suggestions and educated me on hair care. “I just moved to Astoria a few weeks ago and was looking for a curl specialist when I found Michelle through a reddit thread. My first cut with her revived my curls and I don't dread washing my hair because of my tangles anymore. Later, I was feeling like I needed a little more volume and she truly delivered with small adjustments. You can tell her mind is seeing the vision before she even cuts your hair. I believe it's cash only but I could be wrong, definitely cash preferred. $25 for a men's cut is hard to find these days, but they did a great job.“

“I booked my appointment online. I called the owner and decided to get small boho braids for 430. Due to an unfortunate even, I had to reschedule my appointment twice to a later hour in the day. The owner understood and made the change. I did call ahead of time and everything so we communicated. When I got there, the owner paired me with her beautician, her name starts with an F. ( idk how people feel about their names on the internet). Due to having to go to a funeral, I had to leave before actually completing my hair. The owner did advise that the shop finished the work in one sitting but due to my unfortunate event she understood. My hair was placed in a near bun. No one could tell it wasn’t done. When I went back to finish my hair. It was done in a short time. The beautician was very nice, entertaining, therapeutic. My hair session felt like therapy for the first time. When my hair was done it looked like it was as fresh as the first day. My hair doesn’t feel heavy or like it will break from the weight of the hair. My hair still looks full but doesn’t feel heavy. I really enjoyed my time and don’t mind spending the money for my hair. Great job.

“I have to say from my experience. My hair has been falling out for month I have thick 4c hair. It’s dry all the time due to being anemic and other health problems it just kept breaking off. Every single day. So I wore wigs embarrassed by how dry and crinkly my hair was. I went to Jennifer ahead of time gave me a relaxer and omg it was like magic . My hair bounced back immediately and it stopped breaking off. Omg I want to cry this women is absolutely AMAZING she will always be my forever hair dresser. My hair feels like silk.
