My son has been a karate student here for 3 months now. He is a fun-loving, high energy kiddo, who finds most sports boring. To say that he enjoys karate at this Dojo is an understatement. Usually, he gets frustrated and down on himself when he doesn't get things right the first time. I don't know how he does it, but somehow Sensei Noah has a way of giving him feedback that he can receive without being so hard on himself. My husband and I especially love the way all of the students celebrate eachother's successes, and how the higher ranks happily help the lower ranks meet their personal goals. Sensei Noah is a wonderful teacher, very technical, and knowledgeable. His dojo is a wonderful place to train. I highly recommend it for anybody interested in karate, jujutsu, katana, or kobudo.
Sensei Noah Mitchell is an incredibly accomplished martial artist, a devoted teacher as well as a fun and interesting person. I started to train on traditional Japanese weapons (Kobudo) with him at his Mountain Stream Budo dojo in Putnam Valley, NY, about three years ago. I have also been training in traditional Karate Do in another dojo for over 20 years, so I can appreciate the specific talents that Sensei Noah brings to his teaching. He is a great technician, with a sharp eye to the fine points of kata, and a global knowledge of martial arts.
