I highly recommend hiring Land Design, Inc. if you're looking for help designing and implementing plans for a landscape. We now know that they design hardscapes too, but I didn't find them until we started thinking about adding plants to the front of our house. We had just put in new front steps, a walkway, and retaining wall planters, so the space was pretty bare and lacking any life. I knew it would be a daunting task to research enough plants to cover the 300+ square feet of space, and not only find plants that would meet our needs (partial shade, deer resistant, low maintenance, etc.), but also figure out how to appropriately and attractively arrange them.... read full review
