Playful Yogi is THE place to practice yoga in Nyack. I have practiced yoga In different cities around the world and I still prefer PYS above all others. It is a beautiful, heart-warming and welcoming space that makes you feel like you're "home." There's a class for everyone ... gentle, yin, aerial, hot and incredible vinyasa classes (plus others) ... there's something for everyone and for any mood you're in.I highly recommend PYS for anyone to practice yoga and for teacher training - it's worth the trip to ensure you get an incredible journey that is transformational and prepares you to teach. Come check it out, you won't be disappointed.

I can’t say enough superlatives about PYS, it has become my sacred sanctuary. The space is beautiful with a parking lot on the side of the building, a sunlit open studio with high ceilings, props, mats, blankets and silks for aerial yoga classes. There is also a hot room with heating panels, humidity and a floor that radiates the warmth. I didn’t think I would like hot yoga but it is now a regular part of my practice! Hot room towels/mats are available for a nominal fee so you don’t have to stress if you don’t have them. Pro tip - there is a shower! It really is a yogi and yoga positive place. The owner is a teacher and has decades of study and personal experience.... read full review

I can’t even express here how much I like this place! This is a home away from home. Not only do they have so many different classes and styles that meet everyone’s needs (and they just opened a second studio for hot yoga!), but also it is such a great community. I really feel that it welcomes everyone, all ages, genders, colors and backgrounds, and keeps an atmosphere where you are encouraged to listen to your own needs and not feel like you have to push and keep up with. There’s a lot of heart in that place and I can’t recommend it enough.
