DO NOT GO HERE! Zero stars! She had my daughter and I pick out frames from HER selection on Sept 7th. She told us it would take about a week and a half for my daughter's glasses to come in. I paid out of pocket after insurance $62.00 for frames and an upsell of some glare scratch coating stuff that she said we absolutely need. On october 3rd I was calling looking to pick up. She told me she couldn't remember what we did? Gave me another phone number of hers to txt. I did txt and she still didn't answer, nor ever answered again. I have all screenshots of my calls. I then call my vision insurance company after she still didn't respond. They told me she had not submitted the frames to them AND it said patient submitted their own frames to her. That is NOT TRUE! We picked them from HER selection. This was my daughter's first eye exam in life at 16yrs old. How would we have known that she would even need glasses in the first place, before having the eye exam, in order to bring in our own frames ahead of time?? We aren't psychic. The eye exam took her 3 freaking hours to administer because she did lots and lots of talking about nonsense not eye care related, all personal stuff which ranged from and included her telling my daughter that she had a nice butt, where did she buy her leggings from and how her sister has deterred her from wearing them over the years with negatively rude comments that I won't post the specific details of which she said to us and about her overall personal relationship with her sister. My daughter and I had to reassure and comfort her... Awkward situation! Her exam room is dusty, messy, cluttered, numerous old broken eyeglass display cases and large eyeglass carrousels tobbled over on each other with just stuff on top of stuff everywhere-all thick of dust. Isn't dust not good for your eyes?? I do not know what possessed me to stay and endure this place, her erratic behavior and then to not even receive my daughter's glasses after putting up with all that! Eventually took my daughter to another eye doctor and told him what happened. He KNEW whom I was speaking of without me saying her name or location. He said he's had a good number of people come to him after dealing with her. I'm going to report our experience with the state, and/or whomever that oversees optometrists. I will be persistent like no other!

Great experience! Dr. Morgenstern was very helpful and took a great deal of time explaining things to me. I highly recommend Nyack Eyecare.
