I purchased an 1860 Italianate/Greek Revival farmhouse in Otsego County. The house was originally wired with vintage knob-and-tube throughout. I called Thornton sometime late autumn - they came highly recommended by several people on Norwich. Mr. Thornton reminded me that it was hunting season. No worries. Jim worked alone - he has decades of electrical work experience; he knew what he was doing, and he was very methodical. We needed a complete upgrade to our electric feeder cable coming into the house and internal upgrades of two electrical boxes with breakers. Jim was assigned to be our electrician and his work was perfect. The knowledge and professionalism was refreshing in today’s world. You can tell when someone takes pride in their work. Thornton Electric took care of everything including scheduling the inspection to making and meeting NYSEG for the cutover.
